Speaker Johnson Endorsed by President Trump in LA-04

Shreveport, LA - Speaker Mike Johnson released the following statement after being endorsed by former President Donald Trump for re-election in Louisiana's 4th Congressional District:
"Thank you, President Trump. It's an honor to continue working together on behalf of Louisiana's 4th District and our nation," said Speaker Johnson. "During the Trump administration, our border was secure, our economy was the greatest in the world, and we maintained peace through strength. We can do it again this November by growing our majority and returning President Trump to the White House."
On Sunday, President Trump posted, "Congressman Mike Johnson is a tremendous champion for Louisiana's 4th Congressional District! Mike is not only our Speaker but is also a Patriot. We get along very well and continue to work closely together. He has done a very good job advancing our American First Agenda, Supporting our Military, Growing our Economy, holding Joe Biden's Crooked Administration Accountable, and Fighting for Free and Fair Elections. Mike Johnson has my Complete and Total Endorsement!"
On October 25, 2023, Johnson was unanimously elected by his House Republican colleagues to serve as the Speaker, earning the honor faster than any person since 1883. As a Member of Congress, Johnson represents the nearly 760,000 residents of 16 parishes in the northwest and western regions of Louisiana. Johnson was first elected to Congress in 2016 by the largest margin of victory in his region in more than 50 years.
