Speaker Johnson Releases Statement on the Conclusion of the DNC

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Speaker Mike Johnson released the following statement on the conclusion of the Democrat National Convention:
"Throughout the DNC, Vice President Kamala Harris and Democrats gaslighted the American people and pretended as if she and her Party are not directly responsible for the sky-high cost of living, illegal immigration, and weakness on the world stage that have defined the last four years. Instead of taking responsibility for the disastrous failures of the Biden-Harris administration, Kamala Harris is trying desperately to make the country believe their revised version of history.
"Harris and Walz - the most left-wing ticket in American history - spoke in platitudes about “joy” and “hope,” but there is nothing joyous or hopeful about Soviet-style price controls, millions of illegal aliens invading our borders, and wars raging across the globe because our adversaries see an opportunity for aggression.
"The only way to solve the many issues that plague the American people is to grow our House majority and elect Donald Trump. He is the only candidate in this race with a proven track record of delivering economic prosperity, a secure border, and safety both at home and abroad.
"Because the American people are much smarter than the Democrats believe, we will win in November and we will make America great again."
This week, Speaker Johnson joined Fox News to discuss the DNC and the, "largest gaslighting operation in history." Throughout August, Speaker Johnson is traveling across 20 states supporting incumbents and candidates and raising the resources to grow the Republican House majority in November.
